The project manager has full project ownership and produces a monthly programme that identifies progress achieved in the month and predicts the works through to completion, all measured against a baseline programme and spend profile agreed at the start of the project.
We hold monthly internal project review meetings between project managers and our Delivery Manager to review progress against our programme; costs spent against allowance; costs to complete; supplier and subcontractor performance; and workshop and site returns covering project quality, environmental and health and safety aspects.
Projects showing variance from expected performance, are subjected to detailed review to understand underlying issues and implement recovery measures.
Alignment of performance objectives with Clients allows effective delivery of projects with visibility of how actions contribute to success, driving the right behaviours. Early agreement to reporting formats and dates allows for an effective flow of information that feeds all stakeholder requirements.
We operate a UKAS accredited Business Management System that specifically details how we manage projects and how individual internal departments interact to provide a cohesive solution. We also use our internal management software system, Netsuite, to monitor project cost allocations. All employee, subcontract and purchase order costs are collected under a single project number and allocation of any costs is controlled by a dedicated project manager.
