To ensure the success of the ECI process, early identification and establishment of a team that includes members responsible for all aspects of the program or project is required to ensure an integrated solution. The Team should include representatives of the client, designers, construction teams, MEICA, commissioning and strategic supply chain partners. In our experience, ECI encourages team building and collaboration enforcing a one team approach.
As solution development and outline design proceeds, key hold points for Peer/Optioneering and Design Reviews need to be included. The project should be critically reviewed for opportunities in the areas of alternative solutions, alternative technologies, and buildability while at the same time incorporating construction methodologies into the design and giving consideration to downstream activities necessary to ensure a smooth delivery.
