At M Group Services, we celebrate collaboration between our operating businesses. Recently, our Water Division celebrated a significant project milestone on its McDonald Road Waste Water Pumping Station (WWPS) project in Edinburgh.

Undertaking work for its client, Scottish Water, the Morrison Water Services DV2 Lot 4 team, PMP Utilities and IDS worked to remove a screw pump located within an underground WWPS.

After attending a fault within the pumping station last year, the project for the removal and replacement of the non-operational ‘Storm Screw’ was accelerated. Taking four hours to complete the removal, the PMP team worked to ensure the work was undertaken efficiently and safely, to remove the 14m long screw.

PMP Utilities also carried out the essential repairs and maintenance to the remaining ‘Foul Screw’, which operates daily.

PMP Utilities is currently working on the fabrication of the new pump which is planned for installation during the first half of 2024.

A massive well done to the PMP Utilities, IDS and Morrison Water Services teams for achieving this project milestone.
